“ Education is the key to unlocking the world, passport to freedom”                                                     Oprah Winfrey What separates humans from animals is the ability of humans to write, read, learn and teach . This centuries-old accrued knowledge is called “ education ”, which makes humans the smartest creatures on the planet earth.  The basic measurement for education is called the rate of ‘literacy’. The global adult literacy rate is 86%. 75%of the world’s illiterate population lives in South Asia,West Asia and sub-Saharan Africa. Women account for two -  third so fall the illiterate adults of the world. The literacy rate of India is 77.7%(2017-18). In  the modern world, the meaning of ‘education’ is structured knowledge of our society in various disciplines – history, mathematics, polity, economics, various streams of science and arts, craftsmanship. Education is the tool that helps us choose right from wrong, good from bad and ethical from unethical. A

Domestic violence

As we all know covid 19 has spread immensely and affected lakhs of people. With the increasing number of covid 19 cases, the number of domestic violence is also increasing. During the first four phase of the covid19 related lockdown, Indian women filled more domestic violence complaints than recorded in a similar period in last 10 years. We are living in 21st century which is known as modern world. But it is not correct at all. Women are the most suffered and tolerable section not only in India but in the entire world.Stereotype for girls exacerbated than previous year,  Domestic violence and buckle has cranked up by 25% to 300%. Myriad calls on helpline numbers shower of reports in grievances centre. In west Africa 60% of deaths in 2014 Ebola virus were women New Zealand which is the happiest nation in the world has 53% of domestic violence on women. Barriers to care 1. Due to online classes through learning apps, more priority has provided to boys. 2. Putting many girls into sexual exp

Galwan valley issue

The dispute of India and China is on peak,as china attacked on India when the talks going on. As far as we know India believes to resolve the issue through talks. Whereas China runs on the communist and Maoist philosophy which suggests expansionist ideas. Following this path, China has already occupied Tibet and its next target is Ladakh. A month long stand-off in the Galwan valley near LAC has resulted in extreme violence between India and China. India lost its 20 soldiers, but we dont know about the loss of China as China has not disclosed the numbers, but according to Indian source, China too has lost 43 soldiers. Though talks were going on at diplomatic and military levels, still China attacked on Indian soldiers, when they went there to be- escalate the army. China is not accepting it, but it clear by some evidences.  China had nearly 300 soldiers with copper and iron coiled sticks. India can take steps against China as it is likely that India will become the non- permanent member

Female foeticide

"There is no chance of the welfare of the world unless the condition of women is improved. It is not possible for a bird to fly on one wing." In a democratic country where equality is on its peak priority, a social evil that originated a long time back is still in practice. Female foeticide is the procedure of abortion to terminate female fetus from the womb of the mother after taking sex recognition tests( ultrasound). More than 2,00,000 girls are killed each year especially in U.P. and Bihar as compared to other cities. Several religious, social, financial and emotional factors are the reasons behind the female foeticide. Most of the parents prefer son to girl because they think they have to pay a big amount as dowry at the time of marriage and also believe that tha son will carry the name of their family in future while girls will get married a day and will have a separate family. Illiteracy, insecurity, poverty and increasing ratio of rape are also the major reason for gi

SEZ

A special economic zone popularly known as Sez, is a geographically area in which the business and trade laws are different from the rest of the country. In these areas government give some privileges compare to non sez area. Sez are established to promote export, create job opportunities, attract investment as well as to attract foreign companies. Sez are born to the nation and its people, because of it country's firm become more competitive and efficient to increase export by making availability of goods and services free of tax and duties. The concept of SEZ is beyond the industrial concentration as a mix of industrial and human settlements. Conceptually SEZs are parallel to free trade zone. The incentives, benefit of trade and commerce offered by them within the regions are similar. The foreign trade policy clearly states that SEZs are growth engine that can boost a country's growth. India's low cost and efficient labour attract foreign investors, but they have only a f

Corona virus

As we all know the cases of covid-19 is increasing day by day, India reached in top 4 in the list of covid-19 countries. But it is rightly said don't compare oranges with apples. Population of India is higher than those of rest countries. In between this a good news came in front of us about the recovery rate of Corona virus and the active cases are 50- 50. The number of recovered cases are almost equal to the active cases. As on Thursday, recovered cases were 1,46,716 and active cases were 1,42,697. This is the result of hard work of frontline workers i.e. health care workers, policemen, and janitors. India has changed its discharge policy. As of now, no patient will be tested twice in the period of 24 hours. Any patient who does not show any symptoms in 3 days are allowed to go home. We can boost our immune system by eating nutritious food and maintaining hygiene are the perquitisite tocontain the novel Corona virus.

India vs China

The stand-off between China and India is a big concern nowadays. Stand-offs are in the regions of Pang Tso, Galwan valley, Gorha post in Ladakg and Naku-la post In Sikkim. Its clear cause is not any serious border dispute but the internal conflict within China. China is being led by the communist party and hence no rights are offered to them. So the people of China only rely on GDP of the nation that will make them reliable. In the present time due to Covid 19 and the dispute between China and hong kong the economy hit severely and just to unite people they are trying to play all the cards. This is not the first time China has done all this. In 1950-60 when starvation was seen due to sparrow movement, just to unite the people India-China war of 1962 happened.  From May 2020, there were many skirmishes between India and China on the LAC. Chinaese Army has occupied in the Ladakh controversial area which is the territory of India. Last Friday, India's external affairs minister and chin

Profit not Profiteering

In the beginning of this pandemic, there were limited cases of patients, so the government institutions are enough to testing and those tested positive were sent to the government hospitals. But in the present timr the number of cases increasing day by day, the demand of hospitals is on hike that's why it is important to include private hospitals as well. For testing in private hospitals government already set a limit of rs.4500 but do not set a limit for the treatment and isolation facility to the covid-19 patients. That's why private hospitals charges arbitrarily i.e. Rs. 7lakh for 14 days quarantine facility, if intensive care unit (ICU) care is warranted thrn the rates would be much higher and can be change according to their preferences that is a huge amount and can not affordable by everyone. So the states decided to interference in it and set a cap on the tariff that is charged by the hospitals. Maharashtra was the first to fix a tariff, followed by Gujarat, and Tamilnad

A Story Of An Elephant

As we all know the highest literacy rate is in Kerala, but what do you think is education means only to get a degree just a pen, paper or a respected life.. Education is not about pen, papers, exams, getting degree and getting a good job. It teach what is right or wrong, ethical values of life, develop an affection towards society, show some sympathy towards the animals. A barbaric news came from kerala, killing of the pregnant elephant.  It is not the question on education but also on humanity. Villagers in kerala gave a pineapple, filled with a bomb to a hungry elephant which burst in her mouth and burnt severely. For getting relief she went to a pond but did not get any relief and she died after struggling of three days. To punish the miscreants can do little as the problem which is much more depend that it seems. Every year many elephant killed as well.as the other animals by the people. As in India It was the favourite entertainment of the kings, it was said that if that king hunt

G7

The group of seven (G7) is an international intergovernmental economic organization consisting of the seven major countries i.e. France, Germany,  Canada, Italy, Japan, the United kingdom and the United States. These are the largest IMF advanced economies of the world, established in 1975, created with the purpose an annual gathering of the powerful leaders to discuss about various topics like trade related, security and also exchange their ideas. Few days ago, Us president Donald Trump put a idea in front of the media and said that the president G7 is outdated and recommended the expansion of adding 4 other countries- India, South Korea, Australia, Russia, turn it into G11, with the all powerful leaders of the powerful nations against China. But for Russia it is difficult as Russia was already a member of the G7 but in 2014 its membership suspended. In G7 they will use their veto powers. This will tilt RUSSIA towards China and can create disturbance in the relation of India and Russia
